Oct Week 1 - Part 2
Camden Market
On a last minute whim, I decided to take an extended walk over to visit Camden Market. I walked along some canals, through Regent’s Park, over to and around Camden Market, then looped back down through the heart of Regent’s Park to get back home. All in all, it ended up being a nice 8 mile trek.
The canal in Little Venice was beautiful:
With pretty little flowers:
And further on to Regents Canal:
Complete with ridiculous houses:
And ridiculous greenery:
Making it into Regent’s park, there were football fields-a-plenty (this photo only captures a fraction). There’s also a zoo to the left of this shot, where I saw a few camels lumbering about. They unfortunately eluded any sort of good photo opportunity.
I finally made it to Camden Market!
The place was absolutely buzzing with people - this only captures the outer edge of craziness. Further up the road there is a veritable maze of stalls upon stalls (upon stalls).
Wouldn’t be complete without an american candy shop:
And I couldn’t help but snap this on the way out.
Reading updates!
I finished Tenth of December (George Saunders) - my first foray into his short stories after finishing A Swim in a Pond in the Rain
K finished both:
Girl, Woman, Other (Bernardine Evaristo)
We Are Never Meeting in Real Life (Samantha Irby)
